John Newell

President, CEO and Director

John has over 35 years’ experience in the investment industry acting as an officer, director, and Portfolio Manager of a Global Precious Metal Fund. He has worked with some of the largest investment firms in Canada as a branch manager. John is a mineral exploration and development entrepreneur with over 18 years of exploration, development and mining finance experience, raising over $500 Million in capital for some of the most successful exploration teams and mid-cap producers. John also has a regular column in many publications , and has several years of experience working with a network of professionals in the mining sector, as well as a broad network of retail to institutional investors that follow his work through the strategic phase of a company’s growth of prospects in precious metals.

Ewan Webster, Ph.D., Geologist


Dr. Ewan Webster is an exploration geologist who began his career in geology at the University of Glasgow, Scotland where he was awarded a First-Class Honours degree. Following this he went on to pursue a Geoscience B.C. funded Ph.D. at the University of Calgary. This focused on unraveling aspects of the structure, stratigraphy, tectonics, and metamorphism of southeastern British Columbia, to establish a sound geological framework in which to place the region’s abundant and diverse mineral deposits. Ewan went on to become an instructor in the Geological Technology program at Yukon College. He is currently a senior consultant to the exploration team focused in NW British Columbia.

Lucy Zhang, CPA, CGA, MBA

Director and Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Lucy Zhang is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. She has an Honours BA from Suzhou University, China, and an MBA (Honors) from Royal Roads University. Ms. Zhang’s recent experience has included controller positions in administration, accounting, and finance with publicly traded mining and exploration companies.

Bill Jung


Mr. Jung graduated in accounting at the University of British Columbia, is a former chartered accountant and has over 35 years of experience in the areas of finance and business. He has worked with a major international chartered accounting firm as well as in private industry. During the past 25 years Mr. Jung has mainly been involved in the management of companies publicly listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Rein Turna, P.Geo., Geologist


Rein Turna is a consulting geologist with over 40 years experience in mineral exploration in Canada focused on British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Yukon and Northwest Territories. He is a registered professional geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia since 1993. He has held staff and consulting positions with major and medium mining companies including Placer Dome Inc., Falconbridge Ltd., UMEX Inc., Lac Minerals Ltd. and Osisko Hammond Reef Gold Ltd. He has managed exploration programs for porphyry, volcanogenic massive sulphide, epithermal and other deposit types. Researched and worked on Archean orogenic gold and sedex prospects.

Has extensive experience in property assessment as well as supervision of drill projects. Mapped inigneous, volcanic, metamorphic geological environments, on trench, property and regional scales.  His practical experience includes supervision of all aspects of projects involving multiple crews in remote terrains.

James Atherton


Mr. Atherton is a senior corporate finance lawyer and executive, having worked with reputable national and regional law firms, served as a senior executive of a Toronto Stock Exchange-listed company and founded a technology company. James is currently CEO of Capiche Capital Technologies Corporation, Partner at Capiche Legal LLP and director of Marrelli Trust Company Limited. He received his LLB from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia
